Over the last eighteen months, I’ve attended virtual meetups, talked with peers, and read about organizations trying to build remote software teams and get them working together effectively. The Smartwyre engineering team had our first hire just a couple years ago, since then we’ve built a very successful, fully remote team of close to 20 and growing. As Smartwyre’s Director of Engineering, I wanted to share some of my key findings when leading us through this process.
